Virtual dance party this Saturday with DJ Kevin Ngo!

Dance party this Saturday!

Posted by:  Kimmel Cultural Campus on April 17, 2020

SATURDAY, APRIL 18 AT 8PM

Featuring DJ Kevin Ngo

We promised to bring dance parties to your living room, and this Saturday, April 18 at 8PM, you won’t be able to keep that groove thing on your couch as we shake things up with a live Latin music dance party! Kevin Ngo, the legendary dance host of our FREE, monthly Latin music dance party, La NOCHE, will play some of his favorite Latin hits and make you feel like you’re part of the crowd.

While we can’t bring you the smoldering real thing in the flesh, this virtual version will bring el fuego to your weekend.

It’s a great excuse to whip up a batch of mojitos and join some other humans for some shared shaking it. Check out our signature Cranberry Mojito recipe, a themed cocktail we developed with our friends at Volver, to sip on during the party.

As one of our many FREE community programs on the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus, our monthly La NOCHE series features our house band, of the same name (La NOCHE) led by master percussionist Arturo Sable.

Guest bands from across the globe travel in to perform later in the evening, with styles varying from classic salsa, to boogaloo arrangements, and Cuban jazz. Monthly food and beverage specials like delicious empanadas and $3 Modelos are available from our partners at Garces Events for a complete night of turning up the steam.

La NOCHE is supported by the generosity of PNC Arts Alive. All of our FREE community programs are reliant upon contributed support. It is only because of the kindness of donors that, as a nonprofit performing arts center, we are able to bring together our diverse communities for experiences that teach us how deep our roots run and how they intertwine.

The City of Brotherly & Sisterly Love is creative and resilient. While we can’t gather in person for La NOCHE and our other FREE events this month, we gather virtually to appreciate the invaluable artistic contributions from across the Latin community.

Don’t follow us on Instagram? Let’s connect @kimmelcenter. See you Saturday, April 18 at 8:00 PM EST.
